Vector Graphics: Logo Designs

This week in Digital Media we learned about vector-based graphics.  Vector graphics are used to create digital illustrations and connects points by lines.  For this week’s assignment, we had to create two different logo designs for our blog theme. Since my blog is titled “The Crafty DIY Blog,” I wanted to create a logo that represented crafts in a simplistic way.  For my first logo, I used the software Vectr .  I created a vector graphic of a ball of yarn using the ellipse and pencil tool.  I made the ball of yarn a light blue/aqua color to give it a peaceful look to it.  I used the font “Crafty Girls” for my text because I thought it fit my blog theme perfectly and it matched the original font I used for my blog title, which I was very happy about.  I liked using Vectr mainly because it gave me more font options than Method Draw did and I get the sense that it’s a craft/DIY blog from my logo.  However, the layout for the page was more challenging to use than on Method Draw for zo
