Urban Landscape Adventure

Image
Ancient Chain (Edited) ,  a photo by    lila015 on Flickr This past week, I went on a photo shoot for my Digital Media class.  We were asked to take 20 photos around our city based on the theme "Urban Landscape."  During my photo shoot, I was looking for many old abandoned buildings, and urban decay on objects, such as on the chain shown here.  I took this photo in my own garage and I saw the rusted old chain attached to the garage door.  The moment I saw it, I knew I wanted to take a picture of it because of how old and rusted it looked with all the cobwebs around it.  I titled it  Ancient Chain because of how decayed it looked and it kind of reminded me of an old rusted pirate ship chain with all the debris surrounding it.  I took this raster-based image with my 7 megapixel Apple iPod touch camera.  The image has a resolution of 2448 x 3264 which equals to 7,990,272 or 7 megapixels total, which is the maximum number of pixels that it records.  I edited this

Welcome to The Crafty DIY Blog!

Hi! My name is Lila and I'm a junior majoring in Art Education at the University of Toledo. Welcome to The Crafty DIY Blog!  In this blog, I will show you different DIY projects I have made that are included in the categories of, "Organization" "Stationary" and "Decor."  My aim for this blog is to not only inspire you to recycle objects that you may have in your own house, but to get organized and crafty with them.  It may even inspire you to create something you have never thought of before!  Some of the DIY projects that I will include in this blog are a Bathroom Organizer in which I will show you how you can recycle empty tissue boxes and make an organizer out of them, how you can DIY plain notebooks for school, and how you can even recycle an old t-shirt or dress to create a new art poster!  I think recycling objects and making them into something new is not only a great way to show your own creativity, but is also a good way to custom your house
